Anyone for a Kir Royale?

As quite the bubbles fan you can imagine my joy when I discovered a brand that makes Bellini and Kir Royale lip balms. Not only that, Boozi Cosmetics pride themselves on offering a full range of cocktail themed products. From French Martinis to Virgin Mojitos, you name it they’ve got it!

So if you’re a fan of sweet and fruity things (or – addressing the elephant in the room – alcohol) Boozi is definitely a brand for you. It’s fun, flirty, fresh and fabulous and a really good brand to look up just before Christmas. I personally stood at Olympia Beauty looking over the full range and struggling to decide which particular product to go for. I finally settled on this lovely little tin of Kir Royale balm for £2.95 which is ideal to fit in any clutch, satchel or handbag.

The tin has a slide top which I thought was great for concealing and keeping the rest of the product fresh whilst you apply the balm. As expected it has a sweet blackcurrant scent and when applied the balm leaves a glossy finish, which is great for a more natural finish or as a go to rescue product this Autumn.

Whilst I loved the sweet blackcurrant scent and glossy natural finish I was a little disappointed with the consistency of the product. It was grainy and felt like it had unmixed sugar granules in it. I did wonder whether the batch I had picked up hadn’t  blended properly or whether the product was meant to be this consistency, perhaps to buff off any dryness? Either way I wasn’t all that keen and kept thinking I had bits stuck to my lips.

As a girl who likes her lips to feel super soft and smooth I am not convinced this balm was for me. But I love the concept of the brand and would be sure to give other products in the range a go!

Has anyone else tried the balms? Did I have a duff one after all?

Oh I love this brand! I think you must have got a one-off dud as I’ve tried lots of their stuff (the body products) and it has been fab. And I agree, it’s a great Christmas gift idea for us tipple-loving chicks!

Have you tried a lip balm Amanda? I genuinely think mine must have been a dud as it was so grainy… Jessica KG xx

I haven’t tried this brand… but I must admit the name of them alone makes them rather tempting to try!!
