After a short delay because of some technical problems with one of the brands supplying a product for the box, Septembers edition of the #bloggerbeautybox arrived in its usual lovely white and pink packaging!
Now for those of you who didn’t see my review of August’s #bloggerbeautybox the concept was founded by fellow beauty blogger Vix Meldrew who personally sources and puts together each months products. So what was in this months box?
Sniffy Wiffy Japanese Plum Hand Cream 30ml
I absolutely LOVE the fact that Sniffy Wiffy donate to breast and testicular cancer from every purchase they receive. That in itself would make me want to be a brand ambassador and buy their products over others every time. I tend to prefer hand creams that come in a tube for hygiene reasons but would happily leave this little tin on my desk at work until its finished. The cream itself is thick and non greasy but sadly this particular fragrance was not for me. Japanese Plum is something I would have in my house as a candle or room spray but is not really what I’d pick for my hand creams. I would however love to try Sniffy Wiffy’s Coconut, Cherry, Gingerbread or Hibiscus & Rhubarb ones….
Yours Truly Organics Fix Me! Repairing Serum 10ml
This serum is designed for oily and problem prone skin so was not really suited to me as I have fairly normal clear skin. Application wise it was really thick and glossy and everything I would want from a serum. It absorbed quickly but left my skin quite dry and tight which I suspect is because it’s designed for oily skin. Unfortunately I didn’t have much success with this product but I would recommend you check out other bloggers who have also received this months #bloggerbeauty box as lets face it, we all have different skin types!
Beautiful Movements Cosmetics Beautiful Lips Lip Gloss in “Gypsy Spirit” 8ml
I love the packaging and branding of this product as it is really sleek and classic looking and the product itself goes on really well. It’s super glossy without being sticky and the colour is really bold and bright. I think this particular gloss would be great in the summer when I have a bit more of a tan, the only down side for me was the fragrance.
Make Up Revolution Lip Stick in “Rebel with Cause”
Being fairly dark I am lucky enough to be able to carry a deep lipstick and what a perfect deep berry/ purple shade for the forthcoming A/W season this is! It has a slight bluish tone to it which I thought was really unusual. In terms of application the lipstick is really smooth and buttery feeling but leaves a really long lasting matte finish. At £1 I really don’t think you can go far wrong!
Yes To Blueberries Age Refresh Cleansing Facial Wipes x10
I really wanted to like these wipes as they are a 95% natural product and paraben free but I felt that they smelt really clinical. To me they smelt like a domestic cleaning or dirty hands travel wipe and not like anything I would want to cleanse my face with… In true blogger spirit I gave them a go and loved the fact that the cloths were thicker than a normal make up wipe and really soaked in the product but sadly I found them very drying and the smell just put me off. Not one for me I’m afraid!
….Oh and a strawberry Maoam which I may have scoffed before even photographing the box!
