As you will have seen over the last few weeks, all of the brands who attended the #bigbloggerconference were hugely generous so I have been slowly working my way through trialling and reviewing every product I received.
Look Fantastic were one of the FAB brands in attendance and were particularly generous in that they gave each blogger a fab beauty subscription box containing SIX wonderful items! So what was in the beauty box?
Safe to say I have never come across a scented mascara, but this cucumber and vitamin enriched one smells divine! The idea is that it wakes your eyes up and makes you feel more awake. I’m not convinced on that but it does have a great long lasting smudge and clump free finish. For a budget friendly high street product I really liked this mascara, the only down side for me was the wand/ brush which is far too big & clumsy for my liking!
For those Lush fans amongst you (and I know you’re there in your thousands!) this product is very much like Ultrabland. It comes in that same waxy form which when applied to your face forms an oily layer which is then removed with the muslin cloth. Despite it being a beauty award winner I have to say this style/ method of application for a cleanser is my worst nightmare and not something I’d ever buy. The smell was lovely though and I will use the cloth for other products so all is not lost!
What a DIVINE smelling product this is! It’s Neroli & Rose and my word does is smell lush. I have never really used facial mists before, but they are designed to be applied after toner or as a refresher to give your face a little lift through the day. I imagine this product would be fab when you are on holiday to cool skin down and freshen it up. Definitely something I will consider packing in next years suitcase…
I only tend to use leave in conditioner when I am on holiday so it was a refreshing change to have a little tube handy for those days where my hair was looking a bit dry, particularly given the recent season change. It smells really clean and fresh and is super thick. It is fairly convincing on its claims to give your hair 10 in 1 correction, overall I thought it was a great little pick me up.
The title of “spray” is slightly deceiving as I had expected a water based product but this is more the consistency of a liquid conditioner. When you spray it it comes out in cream form, so rather than spray straight onto your hair I found it easier to pump it into my hand and then run evenly through my hair before blow drying. I am not quite sure I had any miracles as such on first use but my hair was certainly sleeker looking and less frizzy. As I have quite long hair I only have enough product for a few uses in this sample, but I am definitely going to purchase a full sized product and see how I get on with prolonged use. I suspect miracles may occur after a few weeks….
I have always loved Bella Pierre’s mineral based powders but would never normally have picked up a white shade. I am quite olive skinned so white is not really my bag, but I actually found this was a fab highlighter for under my brow and along the top of my nose so high five to this for it’s strobing qualities!
For those regular readers you will have seen I am quite the fan of beauty subscription boxes. I think they are a great way to get introduced to products you maybe wouldn’t have otherwise come across without having to spend a fortune buying the full sized products. Look Fantastic’s subscription boxes start from £13.33 with plans over 3, 6 and 12 month periods. You can find out more information here. Their current box is worth over £55 and includes a £10 off GHD voucher.
Anyone a regular subscriber to Look Fantastic? Or any other cosmetic boxes?
