My #LFW treat: September’s Glossybox Style edit.

It’s been that time again…. London Fashion Week! And if you can’t be there admiring the forthcoming trends (*sobs into pillow*) what better pick me than September’s style edition Glossybox?

IMG_1000Without doubt one of the best things I have done since launching Jessica KG is sign up to a Glossybox membership. Each month I am  super excited to receive and review my  surprise box of goodies and I am filled with dread at the thought of coming across another bloggers’ review post before I have received mine.

This month that sadly happened and I had already seen the review of a fellow #bblogger before my box had arrived. But despite the surprise element having gone and suspense levels being at zero I was actually more eager to collect September’s Style issue from the Post office that ever before. That’s because I saw these fab goodies…

Maria Nila Luminous Colour Hair Masque

This mask is an instant win for me. It comes in a big pink tub, is really thick and rich and leaves your hair  feeling super soft and sleek. What more do you need? Well…. For anyone who loved Refresher sweets/ chew bars as a kid you need to take a sniff of this stuff and tell me it’s not just liquified Refreshers…  Maria Nila you had me at that sweet sweet smell!

Invisibobble Traceless Hair Ring

I have been trialling Invisibobbles for a while now after receiving some in my #bigbloggerconference goodie bag. Aesthetically they are bizarre and yes you do look like you’ve curled a telephone wire around your top knot but Hello – You don’t get kinked hair so who cares?

I was over the moon with Glossybox  for two reasons:

1. For keeping my Invisibobble stocks up (we all know that bobbles and grips are eaten by handbags and dressing tables.)

2. For sending me some in this soft grey/ khaki colour. Totally less garish and 100% more stylish than the neon yellow ones I’ve been using. Hurrah!

Nails Inc Nail Polish in Battersea Park

Cue third jump for joy at this fabulous Nails Inc polish!

I don’t think you can go far wrong with any Nails Inc polish so Glossybox could literally have sent me any colour from their range and I’d have been happy, although when I saw that there were two colour ways this month I was secretly praying my box would have this shade in!

The other option was a dusky pink shade – super cute but not a reflection of my angsty and grungy temperament this September. Battersea Park on the other hand was bang on and the ultimate salute to matching your nail polish with your mood!

Bellapierre Shimmer Powder in Whesek and a Marsk Eyeshadow Pro Brush

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better I spotted this little pot of gunmetal genius together with a hard angled brush!

I have a couple of Bellapierre loose powder pots and love the fact you can layer your colour really effectively to either leave a soft smudged look or make a bold and more defined statement. The Marsk brush was a fab tool for this in terms of highlighting or adding definition to the eyes.

Grey and silver tones tend to give a bluish tone to my eyelid and usually appear too heavy so I don’t wear them an awful lot. I loved this one because I could blend the smallest amount across my lid to give a hint of colour and soft smokey look. I will definitely be looking at what other colours are in the range…

So all in all ANOTHER fantastic edition of Glossybox and well worth the £10 monthly subscription.

Are there any other Glossies out there who received the alternative Nails Inc polish? If so what did you think?

Until next months Glossybox girls!

Jessica KG
