I’m not particularly adventurous when it comes to my nail polish colour selection and Hayley (my nail technician) will tell you with perfect ease the colours I normally select. In fact I bet if you asked Hayley to select 5 colours for me to wear forever she would probably pick all of the below that came in this handy set of miniatures I picked up from the airport on my recent travels…
Passion – “an endlessly enticing pale pink.” Subtle and soft, perfect for everyday. Particularly perfect for me in a professional 9 – 5 environment or if I’m due to attend Court (always best to tone it down on those days!)
Tickle my France-y – “a grey-brown that is tres naughty and tres nice!” This is about as edgy as I get I’m afraid. Generally the only time I stray away from my classic collection of reds is for a nude or mink brown.
Charged up Cherry – “A hot pink red.” This is a less frequently worn colour for me. Barbie pink isn’t really my bag as I think it looks a bit cheap unless worn properly. I tend to team this with my Chanel rouge allure gloss in 116 extase if I’m going with it and keep everything else (clothes, accessories, hair & jewellery etc) all very plain.
Cajun Shrimp – “A spicy shade of coral.” Summer/ holiday essential what else can I say? Coral is reserved only for the summer months for me, otherwise you’re in danger of looking like Madge from Benidorm.
Malaga Wine – “A rich intoxicating wine red.” Just YES. Everytime. My fail safe/ “go to” colour is usually this – I don’t think there is anything better than a deep classic red.
Lincoln Park after Dark – “Where midnight meets purple.” Definitely my winter colour. Ever since I saw a lady in my yoga class with this on her toes I fell in love with it… Very weird thing to say I know.
OPI my personal plea to you: Pretty please add a 7th colour to this set and you have an absolute winner!
I bought this set from Leeds Bradford Airport – an absolute steal for £16.50 – and I would definitely recommend as a lover of OPI polishes!
